Help out a community member this holiday season by donating non-perishable food to the library’s food drive! All food will go to the Middlebury Food Pantry, and we will be collecting donations through December 21. To contribute, just drop off your donations on the shelf behind the holds near the front desk of the library.

In 2020, an estimated 1 in 8 Americans, or 38 million people, were food insecure. Food insecurity can range from worrying about your ability to obtain food, to skipping meals, to actually experiencing hunger. In Elkhart County alone, 11.3 percent of people were food insecure in 2019. To learn more, visit the USDA’s page on food insecurity.
